Young Adult:  Supper with the Saints

Next Supper with the Saints:  April 28

Meet us at Holy Redeemer at 5:30pm on scheduled Fridays, and we will start our evening with some time in prayer and Adoration.  Let us celebrate and give thanksgiving for the gift of the Lord's presence in this beautiful sacrament!  Afterwards, we will go out to dinner at a local restaurant and spend some time in fellowship to get to know other young adults in the Vancouver area.

Supper with the Saints happens on scheduled Friday evenings once a month.  If you can't make it this month, make sure to keep an eye out for our next evening in prayer, adoration, and fellowship!

Young Adult Gatherings

Next gathering on:  April 19

Come to our young adult gatherings on Wednesdays to grow in fellowship and faith as we pray together and discuss.
Meetings are in the St. Anthony room (parish center) at 6:00pm.  Potluck style--bring a snack to share!

During Easter (and week of Pentecost), we will be doing a study by Dr. Edward Sri called "Who Am I to Judge?"  During this study we will be discussing with other young adults how to respond to relativism in our society with logic and love.

What is “right” and “wrong”?  Is what’s right for you right for me?  Is there a right and wrong for everyone, all the time?  These are difficult questions to discuss in our culture.  We live in a society that supports the opinion that each person should make up his or her own morality—that there is no moral truth that applies to everyone.  Many of us have been affected by the relativistic outlook that pervades the modern world.  Maybe some of us wonder whether there really is an absolute right and wrong for everyone.  Or maybe we accept that there is a moral standard for all, but we don’t know how to explain our moral convictions in a convincing way.  Maybe some of us are afraid of saying something is immoral because we’re afraid of offending others or of being labeled intolerant.  How do we talk about morality in a relativistic world?  In this small group study program featuring Edward Sri, we'll explore the classical view of morality and find that it’s not merely a set of guiding principles for theoretical situations—it is an entire way of life.

If you would like to participate in this study, please RSVP to Laura or via the Facebook Event Page (by 1:00 p.m. on April 12) so the appropriate amount materials may be prepared.  There is no charge for this study.

Meetings for this
study are on:

April 19, April 26,
May 3, May 10,
May 17, May 24,
June 7, June 14

All meetings are at 6:00 p.m. in the St. Anthony room at Holy Redeemer.
